Good Afternoon:
· SICK CHILD(REN): If you are keeping your child(ren) from school the office needs to know why. We are required to let the health department know about the sickness of the children. Please call prior to the start of school so teachers can adjust their schedules accordingly.
· CHILDREN PICK UP: When picking up your children from school do not park next to the school. But on the side the teachers do not park in.
· PARENT AND STUDENT HANDBOOKS are going to be sent home THIS week.
· ATTENTION LADIES: We will be making banket on October 9 and October 23 and we could use your help. We need 12-15 ladies each day. We will be working from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., a small lunch will be provided. Call Cheryl Corson (365-9330) if you can help us out.
· GRANDPARENTS DAY: Friday, October 5:
· Invitations are being sent out Tuesday, September 25 for Grandparents Day. Please return your forms or call school tomorrow with the names and addresses of those you want us to invite.
· HELPERS NEEDED: We are in need of 4 people to help us serve and clean-up on Grandparents\ Day, Friday, October 5. We will need you to arrive at noon and stay until everything is cleaned up.
· HOT LUNCH: This week Carol DeVries and Julia Herring will be serving Pork BBQ, Chips, Pudding, and Pop. Snack Sale providers are Carol DeVries and Amy Flikkema. Please have all snacks individually wrapped.
· MUM SALE: The ninth graders are once again selling mums until THIS Friday, September 28. They are $4 for 1 gallon of mums and the colors are rose, burgundy, bronze, orange, yellow, and white. If you would like to place your order please call the school office at 942-2939.
· BANKET: Watch for order forms to come home with students today for our annual Banket sale. Orders should be in by Friday, October 5. Our Eastside ladies will once again be making this delicious Dutch treat from scratch, so it is sure to be quite delicious! You will want to tell your friends, neighbors, and relatives about it. Orders will be available for pick-up at Eastside Friday, October 12 from 12:00-3:30 p.m. or with other arrangements after that date. It is very important for you to collect payment as the orders are taken. Please call Cheryl Corson (365-9330) with questions or orders. Last year we raised close to $3000 with this fundraiser.
· TRIP:
· Next week Monday, October 1 is an order date. Please submit your forms and payment by the end of the school day. Cash ‘n Carry available on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30-3:00 p.m.
· Michaels has joined the GLScrip Retailer List. They offer a $25 gift card with a discount of 4%. Macy’s ($25 and $100) has increased their bonus to 10%. Burger King ($10) has increased their bonus by 1% for a limited time.

· CATECHISM MOMS: Vicki DeKryger is scheduled to watch the students this Wednesday.
· STOP-N-SHOP:
· Our Advertising Committee is searching for someone to help in this area. It involves scheduling of ads and computer work, most of which can be done at home. For more information, please call Carol Monsma at 447-1750 or e-mail at dancarolmonsma@aol.com.
· The Eastside Table is looking for donations of any kind. If you have something you would like to donate, contact Cheryl Corson (365-9330).

· SCRAPBOOK NIGHT: Please mark your calendars for the annual Adams School Mothers’ Club Scrapbook Night. It will be held on Friday, January 11, and Saturday, January 12, 2008. More details coming soon. Call Vicki Cnossen at (616) 877-3099 with any questions or to reserve your table early.
· FALL FESTIVAL: The annual Fall Festival of Covenant Christian High School will take place on October 13, 2007. All-you-can-eat meal tickets can be purchased in advance for either the pig roast or for hamburger/hotdogs. The cost for the tickets is $8 for adults and $4 for children 3-12. A cap of $30 per family will be in effect. The festival will once again have hay rides and games for the children, produce, pumpkins, apples, mums, fall decorations and baked goods to purchase, and godly fellowship for all to enjoy. · APPLE DUMPLING: It’s apple dumpling time! The Faith Christian School Ladies’ School Circle is once again making apple dumplings for all to enjoy. Each tray contains 6 delicious frozen apple dumplings with baking instructions. Cost: $6.50 per tray with orders due by Wednesday, September 26, 2007. Please contact Carol DeVries (363-5980) to place your order. The FCS Ladies’ School Circle sincerely thanks for you the support of our school!
· CRAFT SHOW: November 17 – Craft Show: Adams Christian School. There are still openings left if you are interested in reserving a booth. The show will be from 9-3 p.m. For rental information, please contact Lydya Hulst at (616-681-5609) or via e-mail at Ljhulst@charger.net. Please mark your calendar as well to attend our show, have lunch with us and take home some delicious baked goods. Thank you.
