Good Afternoon:

·         CHAPEL is THIS Wednesday, October 31, at 8:30 a.m.  Rev. Lanning will be speaking.

·         HOT LUNCH: This week Anne Miedema and Julia Herring will be serving Hot Dogs, Chips, Pudding, and Pop.  Snack Sale providers are Carol Monsma and Kim Monsma.  Please bring 28 snacks.

·         HOT LUNCH FORMS are going home today and are due back THIS WEDNESDAY, October 31.

·         SKATEBOARDS: If your child is bringing a skateboard to school, they must also bring a helmet.

·         TRIP: We will order next Monday, November 5; please have your order form and check to school by the end of the day.  The following are offering bonus discounts for a limited time:


·    LL Bean: 2% bonus for a total 17% discount plus free shipping and handling

·    Bath & Body Works: 5% bonus for a total 18% discount

·    Barnes & Noble: 1% bonus for a total 10% discount

·        ATTENTION CATECHISM MOMS: Julia Herring will be watching the kids this week Wednesday.

·        STOP-N-SHOP: See the attached sheet for Workers and Bakers.

·  WORKERS NEEDED: FRIDAY 7:00-? – Kitchen set-up   SATURDAY: Cashiers, Kitchen servers, Take-Down (Guys!!) and Kitchen Clean-up.  Please call (942-2939) or stop into school to sign up.

·  BAKERS: Please have your baked goods to school by Friday afternoon.

·  This is the week of our Stop-N-Shop sponsored by the Promoters!  We have a great new selection of vendors and home-party hostesses you won’t want to miss!  Don’t forget the soups, banket, and baked goods and be sure to stay for our delicious homemade chicken salad croissant platters.  Plan on spending a day with relatives and friends from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

·  LADIES: Please donate any shopping or brown grocery bags to the school kitchen by 3 p.m. on Friday, November 2.  These will be used to help people transport their baked goods.  Thank you!

·  ADVERTISING: Don’t forget to pick-up some flyers to post at your favorite business, usually if you ask, they’ll let you post it!!

·  The Eastside Table is looking for donations of any kind.  If you have something you would like to donate, contact Cheryl Corson (365-9330).

v      OTHER NEWS:

·         FROM COVENANT CHRISTIAN HIGH: The Band and Choir will present their first concert of the school year on Thursday, November 8, 7:30 p.m. at the school.  You are invited to attend!

·         AUCTION: The Adams Booster’s Club Auction will be held THIS Saturday, November 3, in the school gym.  Dinner and viewing will begin at 4:30 p.m.  Items up for auction include a stainless grill, a lap-top computer, home accessories, a leaf blower, a wrought iron park bench and much more.  Come out and enjoy an evening supporting the school and invite some friends.

·         PIG-IN-THE-BLANKETS: Hope School Circle will be making Pig-in-the-Blankets on November 27 with an additional date on December 11 to fill all those Holiday orders.  “Pigs” are $6.50 a dozen and are wonderful on those cold winter nights ahead.  Orders are coming in quickly for the first date so don’t miss out.  Call Carol Bos at 895-8004 by Thursday, December 6 to place your order.

·         ADAMS 5th ANNUAL CRAFT SHOW: Come to the craft show on November 17 from 9-3 p.m.  Check out the many handcrafted items at over 50 different booths.  Join us for a delicious lunch, and stop in to purchase some baked goods for your coffee time or Sunday breakfast.  Your attendance at this event is appreciated and we thank you in advance for your support.  Questions may be directed to Lydya Hulst at 681-5609 or Ljhulst@charter.net.
