Good Afternoon:
· HOT LUNCH: This week Julia Herring and the Junior High will be serving Pizza, Chips, Pudding and Pop. Snack Sale providers are Grace Seif, Bernadette Orzechowski, and Meribeth Newhof.
· STOP-N-SHOP:
· We are excited to be hosting our 10th annual Stop-N-Shop this Friday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.! Invite your friends and relatives to join us while they get a jump on their holiday shopping. Thanks to those who have already signed up on the worker and baker sheets. If you are able to fill any of the blanks call the school office (942-2939) so we can have a full slate of workers. We also have flyers available at the front desk for anyone interested in helping post flyers at your favorite place of business, library, or handing to neighbors and friends. · ITEMS NEEDED: The Stop-N-Shop Committee would like more items for the Eastside Table. If you would like to donate or know of someone who would like to donate please call Cheryl Corson (365-9330) or Carol DeVries (363-5980).
· EASTSIDE TABLE: Mystic Made and unique handcrafted items such as plant stands and a harp, hand knitted items, and a corn husk wreath, toys for kids. 100% of the sales go to Eastside. Come and check out our Eastside Booth.
· GIRLS BASKETBALL SCHEDULE:
· October 30 – Eastside vs. Dutton at Eastside, 4:00 p.m.
· October 31 – Eastside vs. Hope at Hope, 3:45 p.m.
· TRIP: Our next order date is Monday, November 6; please use the attached form. Do you serve Honey Baked Ham with your Thanksgiving dinner or holiday family gatherings? Honey Baked Ham offers $10 certificates with a 12% discount! Cash ‘n Carry sold on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30-3:00 p.m.
OTHER NEWS:
· HELP NEEDED: Covenant Christian boys basketball is looking for a volunteer assistant coach for this coming season. The position does include some pay. Practice starts November 13. Please contact Russ Zwak at 662-8128, if interested.
· KEYCARDS: Hope School Circle is selling keycards again this year. If you would like to purchase a Keycard for $15, please call Vonda Jessup (896-1024).
· COOKBOOK: Heritage Christian School’s cookbook, Favorite Family Recipes has been reprinted and is now available in the Heritage’s school office. The cookbook costs $15 and all proceeds go to Heritage Fundraisers. Consider buying one as a gift for newlyweds or a bride-to-be, or to complement your existing collection of cookbooks.
· TRAC FUNDRAISER: Reserve Friday evening, November 10 for a family pizza night followed by a hymn sing and concert by the Voices of Victory at Georgetown PRC. Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:45 p.m. and the concert will follow. The evening is sponsored by TRAC (Transylvania Reformed Assistance Committee). Proceeds will be used for the Bogota Orphanage in Romania. For more information, please call Frank Block (531-8484).
· NETHERLANDS TRIP: Another trip is being planned for April 24-May 9, 2007. This trip will have both church history and many other interesting sites to see. Registration must be made by December 1, 2006. For more information contact Jim Schipper at 616-723-1455.
· DINNER/AUCTION: The annual Adams Boosters Dinner/Auction will be held this Saturday, November 4. We will be serving an Italian Dinner, made by Monelli’s of Byron Center. Dinner will be served from 4:30-6:00 p.m. with the auction starting at 6:00 p.m. We have many items with various price ranges in the silent and in the live auction. Come join us for a delicious dinner and enjoy an entertaining night out while supporting Christian Educaiton.
· YP CONVENTION FUNDRAISER: A fun evening is being planned for the Young People’s (9th grade and older) at the Bouwkamp’s on November 4 from 6-10 p.m. Activities include hayrides, rope pulling contest, bonfire and supper. · ADAMS CRAFT SHOW: Join us for our 4th annual Craft Show to be held on Saturday, November 18 from 9-3 at Adams Christian. Plan to shop at over 65 booths, stop at the “Café” for lunch, and shop the bake sale table for your “Sunday Coffee” treats. Questions – call Lydya at 681-5609 or Terri at 538-3662.
