Good Afternoon:

·        INSIGHTS: This weeks’ INSIGHTS is provided by Miss Lubbers.

·        MISSING: Dishcloths and washcloths are missing. If you have any please return them to the school. Thank you.

·        HOT LUNCH: This week Mary Kamps and the Junior High will be serving Chicken Strips, Chips, Fudge Bars and Pop. Snack Sale providers are Sarah Windemuller, Jami Voshell, Rajini VanFawowe.


·        STOP-N-SHOP: This year the Eastside Table at Stop-N-Shop will be selling the MYSTIC MAID. This is an all-purpose micro-fiber cleaning cloth. Make sure you stop at the Eastside Table and pick up one or two, they are just great!

·   Cleans all hard surfaces to a streak-free brilliance – without chemicals

·   No costly cleaning agents

·   No soap or detergent/ECO friendly

·   Mystic Maid and water, that’s all you need

·   Machine washable and reusable, over and over!

·        PROMOTERS: Remember the second Promoters meeting of the year, Thursday, October 2. This is an important meeting as plans are made for Stop ‘n Shop. We also will show a very interesting video of the Mind That is Mine Fair of May 2006. Please come.

·        GIRLS BASKETBALL SCHEDULE: See back for game schedule.

·        TRIP: Cash and Carry is Monday and Friday from 2:30-3:00 p.m.

OTHER NEWS:

·        2007 Y.P. CONVENTION: Is your vehicle ready for winter? Come to a Winter Car Care Clinic at Grandville PRC on Saturday, October 28 from 8 a.m. -12 noon. State certified technicians will inspect your vehicle and will complete an inspection form. They will set your mind at ease, or, if they see something that needs attention, they will make recommendations of what should be done. No brakes, underbody inspections, or repairs will be done there. Enjoy coffee and donuts while you wait. There will be no set charge for the car clinic-all donations received will profit the 2007 YP Convention. Fresh homemade cinnamon rolls will be for sale, and weather permitting, a car wash will also be set up. Contact Ron Corson with any questions at 453-4909 or rcorson@vanflikk.com.

·        BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: Heritage 5th Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament-Four person teams of the same gender, grades 4-10 are invited to participate on Saturday, November 4 at Covenant Christian High School. Play will begin at 8 a.m. Cost is $80 per team. Tournament T-shirts will be given to each player registered and trophies will be awarded to each division and runner-up teams. Registration forms will be available in the school office, deadline October 17, 2006. Please call Ronda Wieringa with any questions (457-8511).

·        YP CONVENTION FUNDRAISER: A fun evening is being planned for the Young People’s (9th grade and older) at the Bouwkamp’s on November 4 from 6-10 p.m. Activities include horseback riding, hayrides, rope pulling contest, bonfire and supper. A pre-registration and payment of $10.00 is due by October 26. Please see Arlys Vink. A more detailed flyer will be sent home. Any questions contact Arlys Vink at aryls vink@hotmail.com.

·        ADAMS CRAFT SHOW: Join us for our 4th annual Craft Show to be held on Saturday, November 18 from 9-3 at Adams Christian. Plan to shop at over 65 booths, stop at the “Café” for lunch, and shop the bake sale table for your “Sunday Coffee” treats. Questions – call Lydya at 681-5609 or Terri at 538-3662.
