Good Afternoon:
· CHOIR CONCERT: The choir concert was excellent. Eastside’s choir performed superbly. Thanks students and Mrs. Haak. God was glorified and praised.
· SCHOOL PICNIC: Due to shortage of funds we are asking each family to pay $5.00 for the school picnic at the end of the year. Please send the money to the school office by THIS Friday, May 18th. Thank you for your cooperation.
· PREK-3rd CLASS TRIP: All Prek-3rd grade students must be at school by 7:00 a.m. in order to leave for their field trip.
· CLEANING BEE: The annual school cleaning bee will be held on Saturday, August 11. Watch for further notices.
· HOT LUNCH: This week Carol DeVries and the Junior High are serving Arby’s, Chips, Ice Cream Bars, and Pop. Snack Sale providers are Kim DeMeester, Vicki DeKryger, and Cheryl Corson.
· TRIP: Today is an order day. Call Kristin (791-6590) by 5:30 p.m. if you forgot to turn in your order form at school. Visit our Cash ‘n Carry table on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m.
v OTHER NEWS:
· VOLLEYBALL: Attention Ninth Grade Girls interested in playing Volleyball at CCHS this fall. We will have VB open gym on Wednesday, May 16, June 6 and July 18 and 25 from 7-8:30 p.m. You are welcome to attend.
· HOPE FOUNDATION PERCH FISHING TOURNAMENT: Save the date of Saturday, July 21, for the annual Perch Fishing Tournament (with a rain date of July 28). More information later.
· CCHS CHOIR CONCERT: The Choirs of Covenant Chr. High School will present their final concert of the year on Sunday, May 20, 8:15 p.m. at Faith PRC. Please join us for a night of praise to our Lord.
· BOUNTIFUL BREAKFAST BUFFET: Please reserve Memorial Day morning, May 28, for our annual breakfast at Georgetown PRC. Come and enjoy a large variety of food from 7:30-10:30 a.m. There will be plenty of time before the parades and other activities. Hope to see you there with all of your families!
· ADAMS CRAFT SALE: Adams Christian School will be hosting its annual Craft Sale on Saturday, November 17 from 9-3. Please call Lydya Hulst at 681-5609 if you are interested in signing up for a booth.
· K-12 CCHS SOCCER CAMP: Covenant Chr. High School is offering a soccer camp this summer from July 16-20 for boys and girls in grades K-12. Details can be found on the registration form which is due on May 25 and is available at your school’s office. · COVENANT CHRISTIAN BASKETBALL CAMP:
· GIRLS B-BALL CAMP: Summer basketball camp for girls will be June 11-14. This camp is intended to teach individual, fundamental skills and concepts. The camp is in the evening from 6-9 p.m. and is for girls who will be entering grades 5-10 in the fall of 2007. Registration forms are available at school.
· BOYS B-BALL CAMP: Summer basketball camp for boys will be June 18-21. This camp is divided into two sessions. Session 1 is in the afternoon from 2-5 p.m. and is for boys who will be entering grades 5-7 in the fall of 2007. Session 2 is in the evening from 6-9 p.m. and is for boys who will be entering grades 8-10 in the fall of 2007. The camp is designed to teach individual, fundamental skills and concepts. Registration forms are available at school.
· HOPE CLASSIC RACES: Come and enjoy the 10th Annual Hope Classic event! Registration forms are available in the office and are due by May 21 to guarantee a race shirt and to avoid a late registration fee. Races are scheduled for Saturday, June 2, beginning at 8:45 am (5K Walk), 9 am (5K Run), and 9:50 am (1 Mile Walk/Run).
· SPECIAL ED MEETING: Annual meeting of The Society for Protestant Reformed Special Education on May 14, 7:30 pm at Heritage Christian. Please join us in this important work.
