Good Afternoon:

·        PE SHIRTS: Watch for an order form to come home later this week.

·        HOT LUNCH FORMS: Please fill out the attached Hot Lunch Forms and return to school by THIS Friday.

·        HOT LUNCH: This week Mary Kamps and Sunghyun Kim are serving Arby’s, Chips, Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Pop. Snack Sale providers are Grace Seif, Bernadette Orzechowski, and Meribeth Newhof.

·        BOYS’ BASKETBALL: Contrary to last weeks announcement that the boys’ basketball season had come to end, we must announce a change.

·        South Christian Middle School Tournament

·        Thursday, March 1, Eastside vs. Byron Center, 4:00 p.m.; Moline vs. Hope, 5:15 p.m.

·        Saturday, March 3, Losers, 10:00 a.m.; Winners, 12:30 p.m.

·        DODGE BALL TOURNAMENT: The Eastside Christian School Dodge ball Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. There is still room for a few more teams to sign up! (Teams consist of 6-10 players. The cost is $100.) The teams that have already signed up are all Co-ed. If you’d like to be part of a team, but do not have enough, please let us know and we can put together a co-ed team for those who would like to play. The deadline for entries is March 10. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team. Baked goods and lunch will be available throughout the tournament. We expect the tournament to end by 12:30 p.m. The tournament will be held at Rivertown Sports in Grandville. There is still space on the T-shirt for more sponsors, if you have not been contacted and would like to help sponsor this event, please call Erin or Sarah Windemuller to sign up. ·        MARTIN MANS CONCERT: Famous Dutch Organist Martin Mans will be presenting a concert Friday, March 9th, 7:30 p.m. at First Methodist Church, 227 E Fulton SE. Tickets can be purchased through Eastside, 942-2939, for $5 per person or $20 per household; seating is limited.

·        TRIP: Today is an order day. Take note of the following offers and changes by Great Lakes SCRIP.

·  CABELA’S is offering a 2% bonus effective March 3-23, 2007; this means that $25 and $100 gift cards can be ordered at 13% discount during this limited time.

·  TALBOT’S has increased their discount from 8% to 11%; Talbot’s gift cards can be ordered in $25 denominations.

·  WASTE MANAGEMENT is no longer participating; however, they will accept certificates purchased. We have in stock three $20 certificates. Looking for an alternative? Considered Allied Waste for your residential curbside service. We carry $20 certificates with a 10% discount! Allied Waste certificates can also be redeemed for service from United Waste, Sunset Waste, B.F.I. of West Michigan and Shoreline West.

·        CATECHISM HELPERS: This week Jamie Voshell and Anne Miedema are watching the kids.

v      OTHER NEWS:

·        2007 PRYP CONVENTION FUNDRAISER: You are invited to an Aussie Burger Fry sponsored by the Trinity PRC young people on Saturday March 17 fro 5-7:30 pm at Hudsonville Christian School (across the street to the North of Trinity PRC). Proceeds will go to the 2007 Young People’s Convention.

·        PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Plan to attend SW Church Young People’s Pancake Breakfast on March 3, 2007 in the fellowship hall. Breakfast will be served from 8-11 a.m. Homemade cinnamon rolls will also be available. Proceeds benefit the 2007 YP Convention. We look forward to seeing you there.

·        AUCTION: An auction to benefit the 2007 Young People’s Convention will be held on March 14th at Adams Christian School. Dinner will be served from 4:30 p.m. till 6 p.m. with a silent auction starting at 5 p.m. and the live auction beginning at 6 p.m. We would appreciate denominational support for this event to benefit our young people. Thank you in advance for your support!
