· HOT LUNCH: This week GraceKay Dick and Carol DeVries will be serving Pork BBQ Sandwiches, Chips, Pudding, and Pop. Snack Sale providers are Carol DeVries, GraceKay Dick, and Amy Flikkema. Please have all snacks individually wrapped. Thank you.
· TRIP: The next TRIP order day is next Monday, May 1. Just in time for Mother’s Day, Bath & Body Works is offering a special coupon for $5 off a $25 or more purchase. See the TRIP table if interested.
· CAR WASH/BAKE SALE:
· The 8th and 9th graders are planning the Annual Car Wash/Bake Sale for THIS Saturday, April 29 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Come and enjoy hot coffee, juice, delicious treats, and shopping for scrumptious homemade baked goods while we wash your car.
· If you volunteered to bring baked goods, please have them at school by 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon
· INFORMATIVE MEETING: More children have died due to abortions than all the soldiers who have died defending our country. Come hear Mrs. Laura Miedema discuss the local abortion industry and find out why Christians need to know the facts. The administrator and faculty of Eastside Christian School invite you to attend an informative meeting at the school THIS Tuesday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m.
v OTHER NEWS:
· TRAVELOGUE: The Hope Foundation plans to present its final travelogue of the season this Saturday, April 29, at 7 p.m. at Grandville Middle School. Fran Reidelberger will narrate “A Canal Adventure In England, Scotland, and Wales”.
· 9th GRADER PARENTS: Mr. Noorman for Covenant Chr. High has met with all 9th grade students about scheduling classes next year. A meeting will be held at CCHS on May 2 at 7:30 p.m. for parents who would like more information. Mr. Noorman requests that the envelopes and all forms be retuned to the 9th grade teacher by6 Friday, May 5
· PARENTS OF YOUNG CHILDREN: Reserve Friday, April 28 for a quiet evening out. The sophomore class of CCHS and several adults are organizing another Kids’ Fun Night. Crafts, games, gym activities, and snacks will be provided for toddlers and up from 5:30 to 11:00. Call ahead. Contact Tom and Mindy Bergman to sign up or get more information (669-4652).
· SPORTS PHYSICALS will be given at Covenant Christian on Monday, May 1 from 6-9 p.m. The cost will be $10. Please call the school office, 453-5048 to schedule an appointment. Any 9th grade student planning to participate in sports at CCHS is required before they may practice their sport. Sports Physical forms were given to the 9th grade students in the packet Mr. Noorman handed out. They should bring that completed and signed form with them for their appointment. If the physical is being done elsewhere, please use Covenant’s form.
