Good Afternoon:

·        YEARBOOKS: Yearbooks are here! They will be distributed on Friday, May 19. If you were not a patron but would like a yearbook please call the school office (942-2939). The cost is $10.

·        HOT LUNCH: This week Rajini VanFarowe and Sarah Windemuller will be serving Blimpie Subs, Chips, Fudge Bars, and Pop. Snack Sale providers are Kim Monsma, Meribeth Newhof, and Karen Ophoff. Please have all snacks individually wrapped. Thank you.

·        TRIP:

**The school year is coming to an end, and that means we are close to our last TRIP order day, next Monday, May 22. Did you know that together our families have earned nearly $2,000 toward tuition costs just since last fall? Even though each purchase earns a small amount, those percentages begin to add up! The school earns money through each purchase, as well.

**Remember TRIP when you make your travel plans for summer. Airline tickets, hotel vouchers, and restaurant certificates can all be purchased through TRIP. (Look at www.glscrip.com to find our the total list of participating TRIP providers by clicking in the “retailers” header.)

          **The last TRIP order day may be a great time for you to stock up on those necessary household expenses such as trash pickup, gas cards, dry cleaning, and groceries. TRIP cards make wonderful graduation gifts as well!

          **Remember, you don’t have to set up a personal account to purchase TRIP. You may arrange to have your earnings go directly toward the school or toward another family. Just let us know, and we will be happy to help you. Questions? Feel free to contact Heidi VanBaren or Vicki DeKryger.

·        CHOIR CONCERT: Next Thursday, May 25, the choirs of Eastside and Adams Christian Schools will gather at First PRC at 9:30 a.m. for a short concert featuring both sacred and secular music. Parents, grandparents and friends are welcome. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Eastside families are needed to supply 13 gallons of punch or juice. We also need 2 ladies to serve. Please call Lori Pastoor at 464-1302 if you are able to help

·        LIBRARY: All library books must be returned to the library next Wednesday, May 24. If a child has books, a list will be sent home with him or her next Monday, May 22.

·        CLEANING BEE: The Summer Cleaning Bee is August 5. Please see attached flier for more information.

·        NEEDED: Five mothers are needed to bring fresh fruit (3) or veggie trays (2) to the school picnic. Please call Mary Kamps (363-0633) or Amy Flikkema (949-3266).

·        EVERLASTING BLOOMS: Those of you able to attend the flower sale at Everlasting Blooms helped to make it a huge success! The profit to Promoters was $685! A big thank you goes to Jim and Kathi Holstege for sharing with our school in this way.

Song of the Week Psalter 394 “Our Glorious King” stanza 1

I will extol Thee, O my God, And praise Thee, O my King;
Yea, ev’ry day and evermore Thy praises I will sing.
Great is the Lord, our mighty God, And greatly to be praised;
His greatness is unsearchable, Above all glory raised.
