Good Afternoon:

·        JUNIOR RIVERBANK RUN is THIS Wednesday, May 10. The Fun Run will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastside students are pre-registered so they can bypass the line and go directly to the tables to pick up their packets. If you wish to sit as a group in the stands, you should arrive and be parked by 6 p.m. After picking up your packet, meet inside the first gate by 6:15 p.m.

·        EVERLASTING BLOOMS: This Wednesday, May 10 is the annual Eastside Christian Fundraiser at Everlasting Blooms! Come support our school while purchasing delightful varieties of annuals, perennials, herbs, and fabulous hanging baskets to spruce up your yard! The sale is held rain or shine from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Remember, gift certificates are also included in the fundraiser, and may be redeemed through June. See you there!

·        OPENINGS: If you are interested, openings are available to go to the Abortion Clinic on Monday, May 22, from 3-5 p.m.

·        HOT LUNCH: This week Heidi VanBaren and the Junior High will be serving Chicken Strips, Chips, Pudding, and Pop. Snack Sale providers are Mary Kamps, Sunghyun Kim Lee, and Carol Monsma. Please have all snacks individually wrapped. Thank you.

·        TRIP: Thanks to all who continue to participate in this fundraiser. Not only are your efforts rewarded with tuition reimbursement, but purchasing TRIP also earns money for Eastside Christian School. Please stop in on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. to make your cash ‘n carry purchases. Our next order date is May 22, 2006. GLSC has added a new restaurant! You can now order Fazoli’s gift cards in $25 denominations at a 7% discount.

v           OTHER NEWS:

·         BREAKFAST AND BALL GAMES: The CCHS Boosters Club will be serving breakfast from 7-10 a.m. this Saturday, May 13 at Covenant. The Baseball and Softball double header and Girls’ Soccer games will begin at 10 a.m. Lunch will also be served. The proceeds will be for the bleacher fund.

·         MEMORIAL DAY BREAKFAST: Georgetown PRC will be hosting a Memorial Day Breakfast Buffet on Monday, May 29 from 7:30-11 a.m. Proceeds will go to Emmaus House Orphanage in Bogata, Romania. Everyone is welcome!

·         HOPE CLASSIC: The Hope Classic Races will be held on Saturday, June 3, beginning at 8:45 a.m. (5K Walk), 9a.m. (5K Run), and 9:50 a.m. (1 Mile). Registration forms are available in the school office. Be sure to register early (by May 22) to guarantee yourself a shirt and to avoid a late fee. Start your exercise program now and join this enjoyable event!

·         FLOWER SALE: There will be a Mother’s Day Flower Sale at two locations: Centertown Mall in Grandville (Wilson and Chicago Drive) and at Georgetown PRC. Sales will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday May 13. Come see our beautiful hanging baskets and patio pots! All proceeds at these two locations will work for Romania.

·         PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Trinity Young People’s Society will be holding a Pancake Breakfast on Memorial Day from 7-10 a.m. We’re close to the parade routes!
