Good Afternoon:

·         ½ DAY OF SCHOOL: This Friday, the students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.

·         HOT LUNCH: There is NO Hot Lunch or Snack Sale THIS Wednesday, December 21.

·        CHAPEL:

o        The Christmas Chapel will be THIS Friday at 8:45 a.m. at First PRC. This will be the Bands first concert. There will also be a few special numbers performed by the other grades Hope to see you there!

o        All students MUST wear their Blue Eastside shirts.

·        CANDY AND NUT SALE: There are extras available at school if you still wish to purchase some.

·        WINTER SERVICE PROJECT: This year the students will be collecting for International Aid. See back of note for more information.

·        THE CHILD OF WONDER: The Child of Wonder CD recording is now available for order from Eastside Christian School. To get your copy of this beautiful recording of cello and piano music by Eric and Crista Phelps, please contact Eastside Christian School at (616)942-2939 or e-mail Eastside at eastside@i2k.com

·        TRIP:

o        TRIP cards make wonderful gifts for senior citizens, high school students, Sunday School teachers, you name them! Here are the next important TRIP dates:

Monday, Dec. 19 – Cash/Carry

Friday, Dec. 23 – Cash/Carry, 11:15-11:45

·        CATECHISM SCHEUDLE: Cheryl Corson, Anne Miedema, and Agatha Lubbers are scheduled to watch catechism kids this Wednesday. REMINDER: All watchers must be at school by 3 pm and remain until 5:20 p.m.

v           OTHER NEWS:

·         COVENANT CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: Thursday, December 22, marks the end of this year’s Gift Certificate Drive for people in our area Protestant Reformed churches. The Student Council is still asking for gift certificates or cash contributions to help us reach our goal. Thank you to those who have and who will be contributing!

·         CHRISTMAS CONCERT: The Voices of Victory will be leading a singspiration, D.V., on Sunday evening, December 25 at 8:15 p.m. in Georgetown PRC. The evening will include audience singing, as well as several special numbers by the quartet. Plan to join together in joyful praises as we thank our Father for the gift of His Son.”

·         ELEMENTARY GIRLS B-BALL LEAGUE: Russ Zwak, Covenant’s girls varsity basketball coach will be hosting an instructional youth basketball league fro elementary age girls in 3rd through 6th grades. The league will be on Saturday afternoons, 12:00-4:00 from January 14-February 18 at Heritage Christian School. The cost is $30 per player and includes a T-shirt. Please pick up a registration form from your school.

·         JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS B-BALL LEAGUE: Russ Zwak, Covenant’s girls varsity basketball coach will be hosting an instructional basketball league for girls in the 7th-9th grades on Saturday mornings from 7:30-9:00. The league will be for 6 weeks beginning January 14. The cost is $30 per player. Please pick up a registration form from your school.
